A few tips that the USRSA have made is, definatly Heatfit the XTP cap up to 155 degrees with a heat gun or simply put the cap in your oven at 155 for 5 min.Heating the special compound plastic polyurethane cap up befor installation does expand the cap and soften the cap so it molds better to ANY mfg. octagonal shape handle..Also adding a small amount of flexible rubber cement during installation secures cap for optimum use.We find Gorilla Clear Grip glue to be best as it’s slightly flexible and durably strong. Also in some cases installers have restapled caps once installed.
GORILLA CLEAR GRIP FLEXIBLE GLUE works best to secure XTP cap.not included.
